<![CDATA[The Vampire's Heir - Book #5]]>Mon, 18 Feb 2013 05:24:37 GMThttp://www.sjwrightbooks.com/1/post/2013/02/the-vampires-heir-book-5.htmlPicture
I'm a writer. Most of us have issues with staying on task, tendencies towards self-destruction and lots of other fun things that end up screwing up our lives. BUT in order to get the glorious words out, we sometimes change our minds. Which is why you are reading this blog post. Once again, I've changed direction as far as what I'm working on right how. Forget that "Undead in Collin County" that you've been seeing in a few spots around here.

Let's talk about something that sounds like MUCH more fun. Like bringing back the sexy vampire who started the whole thing. Yes, I am specifically talking about Michael. I'm feeling a little nostalgic. I think too many things were left undone in The Vampire's Release. The Council? Holy crap! What a mess they were left with, right?

What about Katie? She should probably have an entire book dedicated to her and her adventures in South America. Alex? Alex is what started me thinking about this whole thing. I ADORE Alex. I love Michael too, but Alex's whole story was left wide open. He's heartbroken over the loss of Sarah. He's a hot vampire with a lot of power. That means potential.

So, be prepared for some SQUEEEEE.

I am continuing the Undead in Brown County series, although the title of the series is becoming somewhat obsolete at this point. Most of this new book will take place outside of Brown County. I am releasing three new excerpts tonight from the new book. They are posted on a brand new page called The Vampire's Heir.

My sweet readers, I love how patient and understanding you are.

A lot of you have checked in at my Facebook author page and know that my youngest son recently had surgery on both legs. For those of you who don't know, he was born with spina bifida and requires a great deal of care on a daily basis. This surgery will hopefully get him to the point where he is able to walk in his walker without crouching, which is a problem with some kids with spina bifida.

He has an amazing spirit, a fantastic sense of humor and is a huge fan of the Texas Rangers. He also keeps me very busy when he's not at school. When he is at school, I am usually trying to catch up on laundry and during this time of year, Christmas preparations.

I have not forgotten about the characters in the books. Victoria, especially, is my focus lately when I have the time to write. The novella will not be ready by Christmas Eve. I would like it to be done by Valentine's Day, which would be appropriate for this story. Michael will be a part of this book, as will Sarah. I don't know that I could really completely put Sarah to the side anyway. Her snarky attitude and fiery spirit still inspire me.

Now for the FUN news! I will be lowering the prices of The Vampire's Curse and The Vampire's Redemption. Curse will be priced at $1.49 and Redemption will be priced at $1.99 for a limited time.

I am also giving away a $50.00 Amazon gift certificate! Details coming soon!

<![CDATA[The Future of the Series]]>Sat, 20 Oct 2012 19:12:43 GMThttp://www.sjwrightbooks.com/1/post/2012/10/the-future-of-the-series.htmlPicture
There is definitely going to be more to come from the Undead in Brown County gang. There is so much to explore beyond Sarah. Michael will be a part of the upcoming projects, as will Victoria, Katie, Alex, Meekah and William. We will also be seeing the girls much more often as well as Teddy. Selena will be involved with all the books as well on some level.

Project 1 (Unnamed as of now) - Victoria's story will give us the details of Vic's painful life before she met Michael, as well as the sparks that flew when she met Captain Jones. This book will explain in detail how it happened that Michael was pursued by Isaiah's thugs, how the girls became involved in everything and Victoria's side of the story regarding Michael's fall from grace and imprisonment in Indiana. Tentative publishing date is Christmas Eve 2012.

Project 2 (Unnamed as of now) - This one will focus on Katie and Alex. Selena will be involved too. Tentative publishing date is March or April or 2013.

Thank you again to everybody who has read the series. I really enjoyed putting the first part of this series together and look forward to writing more!

<![CDATA[Almost Done!]]>Sun, 07 Oct 2012 04:24:16 GMThttp://www.sjwrightbooks.com/1/post/2012/10/almost-done.htmlPicture
The creative bug has been munching on me big-time today. If I can get three chapters written tomorrow and the initial editing finished, The Vampire's Release should be uploaded to Amazon and B&N by Tuesday night. Yes, you heard me right. The official release date is still Thursday, October 11th. It can sometimes take two days for Amazon to make it available in the store after I submit it. B&N is usually somewhat faster. I will also be working on the Smashwords version, which will distribute the book to the Apple store. So hopefully you Apple geeks will get your copy around the same time. Thanks for your patience, my peeps. I couldn't ask for better readers!
