My sweet readers, I love how patient and understanding you are.  

A lot of you have checked in at my Facebook author page and know that my youngest son recently had surgery on both legs.  For those of you who don't know, he was born with spina bifida and requires a great deal of care on a daily basis.  This surgery will hopefully get him to the point where he is able to walk in his walker without crouching, which is a problem with some kids with spina bifida.  

He has an amazing spirit, a fantastic sense of humor and is a huge fan of the Texas Rangers.  He also keeps me very busy when he's not at school.  When he is at school, I am usually trying to catch up on laundry and during this time of year, Christmas preparations.

I have not forgotten about the characters in the books.  Victoria, especially, is my focus lately when I have the time to write.  The novella will not be ready by Christmas Eve.  I would like it to be done by Valentine's Day, which would be appropriate for this story.  Michael will be a part of this book, as will Sarah.  I don't know that I could really completely put Sarah to the side anyway.  Her snarky attitude and fiery spirit still inspire me.

Now for the FUN news!  I will be lowering the prices of The Vampire's Curse and The Vampire's Redemption.  Curse will be priced at $1.49 and Redemption will be priced at $1.99 for a limited time.

Q. What are you doing to prepare for an upcoming zombie apocalypse and/or the return of Mel Gibson to the silver screen? (Both of which could be terrifying.) A.  Mel Gibson is still alive?  Well, I'm thinking I'll probably feed him to the zombies!

Q. How many books do you read in a week? And in what format do you read them, or listen to them?


SJ's Answer:  I read about three full-length books per week on my B&N Nook.  Right now, I'm reading a book about the War of the Roses called The Virgin Widow.  I just finished reading The Rightful Queen by Anne Easter Smith.
