My sweet readers, I love how patient and understanding you are.

A lot of you have checked in at my Facebook author page and know that my youngest son recently had surgery on both legs.  For those of you who don't know, he was born with spina bifida and requires a great deal of care on a daily basis.  This surgery will hopefully get him to the point where he is able to walk in his walker without crouching, which is a problem with some kids with spina bifida.

He has an amazing spirit, a fantastic sense of humor and is a huge fan of the Texas Rangers.  He also keeps me very busy when he's not at school.  When he is at school, I am usually trying to catch up on laundry and during this time of year, Christmas preparations.

I have not forgotten about the characters in the books.  Victoria, especially, is my focus lately when I have the time to write.  The novella will not be ready by Christmas Eve.  I would like it to be done by Valentine's Day, which would be appropriate for this story.  Michael will be a part of this book, as will Sarah.  I don't know that I could really completely put Sarah to the side anyway.  Her snarky attitude and fiery spirit still inspire me.

Now for the FUN news!  I will be lowering the prices of The Vampire's Curse and The Vampire's Redemption.  Curse will be priced at $1.49 and Redemption will be priced at $1.99 for a limited time.

I am also giving away a $50.00 Amazon gift certificate!   Details coming soon!

There is definitely going to be more to come from the Undead in Brown County gang.  There is so much to explore beyond Sarah.  Michael will be a part of the upcoming projects, as will Victoria, Katie, Alex, Meekah and William.  We will also be seeing the girls much more often as well as Teddy.  Selena will be involved with all the books as well on some level.

Project 1 (Unnamed as of now) - Victoria's story will give us the details of Vic's painful life before she met Michael, as well as the sparks that flew when she met Captain Jones.  This book will explain in detail how it happened that Michael was pursued by Isaiah's thugs, how the girls became involved in everything and Victoria's side of the story regarding Michael's fall from grace and imprisonment in Indiana.  Tentative publishing date is Christmas Eve 2012.

Project 2 (Unnamed as of now) - This one will focus on Katie and Alex.  Selena will be involved too.  Tentative publishing date is March or April or 2013.

Thank you again to everybody who has read the series.  I really enjoyed putting the first part of this series together and look forward to writing more!

MAJOR progress on the book today.  There should be no problem getting this done and up for sale by 10-11.  The Facebook Party is going to be awesome!  Please stop by and check it out on 10-12-2012.  There will be lots of things happening and lots of prizes given away!

The official release date for The Vampire's Release is still October 12th.  I can safely say that this book will REALLY be available on that date.  Enough progress has been made over the past few weeks for me to make that statement with some amount of confidence.  So hang in there, readers!

To pique your interest in the newest book in the Undead in Brown County series, I present to you this very short little teaser.  If I give you anything more than this, it will give away far too much information.  A great deal happens in this book, some of which will answer questions that have been coming up since the first book in the series, The Vampire's Warden.

Here's your teaser, my sweet peeps!

I slid into the front passenger seat and glanced back at Sarah, who was already pulling off her stained sweater.  The undergarment she wore beneath it was nearly as tempting as her bare flesh.  I believe Victoria called it a “bra”.  It seemed woefully inadequate to hide Sarah’s beautiful curves, but I hadn't spent much time perusing ladies’ undergarments since the 1800’s.  What did I know?

When I looked back over at Alex, his gaze was locked on the rectangular mirror attached to the glass in front of him.  Sarah wasn’t aware of his ogling, but I certainly was.  I wanted to shake him until his eyes rolled out of his skull.

Do you love visuals?  I do!  In fact, seeing pictures and art are HUGE inspiration for me, whether it's for writing or just getting in my groove.  Look out, Stella!  (Just kidding, hubby...)  But seriously, peeps, you've got to check out my UBC visuals board on Pinterest.  I will be adding more and more as I get closer to the big release day on 9-14.

YEP!  There will actually be a BOOK FOUR.  And it's coming out this month!  My husband doesn't really believe me either when I say that.  My two sons usually look at me and say something like, "You write books?"

My sweetheart little niece, Morgan, asked me last week, "Are you really an author?"

"Yes, I am."

She looked up at me with her pretty blue eyes and asked, "Can I be in your book?"

Hmm....  Do we have room for a cute little mortal girl?  I'll bet I can figure something out!

The Facebook Book Bash went off without a hitch!  I have to say that I have never seen so many pictures of hot men on one Facebook page before.  The pic to the left is just one wonderful example of what readers had to offer.

Here's the update on the release date for Book 4, The Vampire's Release.

On September 13th, 2012 I will be uploading the digital version of the newest book in the series to Amazon, B&N and Smashwords.  Hopefully there won't be too much of a delay in getting the paperback ready as well, but I can't make any promises.  It usually takes me a good week or two to get that part done correctly.

If you missed the first Book Bash, don't worry!  You will have a chance to join the second one on Sept. 14th.  The plan is to get the digital version ready and up for sale on the morning of 9-14 to coincide with the Release Party.

If you are a fan of Pinterest (or an addict, like me) you can check out my Pinterest boards which include a board entitled "Undead in Brown County Visuals".  These are the kind of images that inspired me to write this series, as well as a healthy dose of CW on Thursday nights.

So we're not far off from Book Four, my peeps.  Hang in there.  Love you guys!

I've got to apologize to everybody again for not being more on the ball with this release date.  I have not been a very productive writer over the last few weeks (or months).  Sometimes it gets hard for me to stay in my writing mode.  Like most of you, I've got a family whose needs come before everything else.  But there are also a lot of times when I have just chosen not to work on the book.  I know.  I should be writing as much as I possibly can.  But getting into Sarah's head and talking about how she's feeling isn't always a treat for me.  A lot of what Sarah feels is very personal to me, so sometimes I back away from the book to give myself some time to emotionally cool down and focus on other things.

However, I am determined to get Redemption finished.  Not just for you guys, but also for me.  This book is a big change of direction for Sarah.  Getting drawn into that world and pushing through those feelings that she has sometimes can be difficult for me.

So here's the deal.  I'm about 29,000 words into the book.  My original goal with this one was to get to 40,000 words by Christmas.  Obviously, I missed that by a mile.  And unfortunately, it won't be ready by January 15th either.  So I'm extending the release date by two more weeks.

Here's the good news.  The moment it goes live on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, I will be hosting a giveaway on this blog.  I will be giving away ten copies of the e-book.  I will also be putting all three books into a boxed set, which will be available for $4.99 for a limited time.

RELEASE DATE FOR THE VAMPIRE'S REDEMPTION IS JANUARY 28TH, 2012.

Neck surgery isn't fun, kids.  Just a little tip:  Don't mess up your neck.  There.  Now you've been warned.

I ended up spending two nights and three days in the hospital instead of just one night.  No major complications.  I just didn't handle things very well.  It was a lot more painful than I imagined it might be.  However, I am now back at home and have the luxury of having my sister, Brenda and her husband here to help us out while I recover.

Ready for the good news?  Work has begun again on The Vampire's Redemption!  No, I haven't forgotten about you guys.  I would love to have the third book in the series ready for sale by Christmas of this year.  That's the plan right now.  There is a lot of work to do in order for the book to be ready by then.

So don't give up, my peeps!  The series continues where it left off!

I'm overwhelmed with the amount of fantastic readers who have downloaded Warden and Curse!  Thank you all for your reviews, your support and for telling your friends about the series.  None of this could have happened without you guys.  I am very grateful.

Today's tour stop for Curse is the Wormhole (there's a giveaway!)  There's also an interview.  You can hear about my least favorite job and what I'm currently reading.  Tomorrow's tour stop will be at Adventures of the Cautionary Tale.  They will be featuring an interview and giveaway as well.  Don't miss it!

Most of  you know that on Monday I will be hosting the last stop of the tour and giving away a $100 gift certificate to Amazon.  In order to make everything as fair as possible, I will be setting up an account with random.org in order to pick a winner.

Some of you have asked when the Vampire's Curse will be available in the I-Store.  If you have an I-pad or I-phone, you can actually download the free kindle reading app to your device so that you can read Curse as it is available on Amazon.  I do intend to make it available in the I-Store, but it may take some time to do so.  The Vampire's Curse is still available for free (Kindle version) on Amazon's website.

I am planning to release The Vampire's Redemption (Book 3) on January 1, 2012.  That date may change, depending on my progress and the editing process.

Thanks again for all the kind words of support!  My readers ROCK!

In my mailbag this week, I've had several wonderful readers asking when Curse will be released.  Some of  you may know that my son, Cameron has been ill over the last week or so.  He has an upper respiratory infection that requires breathing treatments.  Luckily, he's beginning to get better.

I am making progress on the Vampire's Curse, Book 2 of the series.  It is not going to be released until the end of June.  As my very intelligent husband pointed out, we want to make sure that it's 99.5% perfect as far as editing before it goes up for sale.  The manuscript still needs about seven more chapters before the first draft is even complete.  Fortunately, I've been doing some editing as I've been writing.

So, here's the deal.

RELEASE DATE FOR CURSE:  June 29th, 2011

That date also happens to be our wedding anniversary, so it will be a double celebration!  Anyway, please be patient, my sweet peeps.  I want to make sure that Curse is completely done and polished well before I send it out to the masses.

I want to thank everyone who has written to me recently.  I love hearing from you!  Thank you!
