As some of you know, I'm a reader who indulges in many different genres.  I love to read YA novels that present original ideas (Shiver, Hunger Games, Twilight).  I love hard-hitting historical novels about how life used to be back in the days of the Great Depression.  Historical accounts of British royalty in the days of Henry VIII are some of my all-time favorites.  I loved The Jungle by Upton Sinclair and Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell.

Wuthering Heights, while it is another favorite, never fails to leave me in a terribly depressed mood after I read it.  Few other novels have such an emotional effect on me.  I've read The Other Boleyn Girl more times than I can count.  When I reach the end of that novel, I feel a sense of relief that Anne is dead and Mary is safe.  But it doesn't compare to the desolation I feel after finishing Wuthering Heights.

What books have had the biggest impact on you emotionally?  Why?  If it's too personal to leave a response in the comment section, please send me an e-mail.  I honestly love to hear what goes through the heads of my readers.

Everybody have a great weekend and try to stay hydrated!  It's frickin' HOT out there!
